Abbeycare’s Chairman, Chief Executive and part of our admissions team are all based at our head office, Harley House in Blackpool. Senior Management Meetings and Board Meetings all take place at Harley House throughout the year.
Harley House is ideally located just fifteen minutes from the M6 motorway which forms the main route to the clinics within Abbeycare Group.

Paul Bowley
Chief Executive
Paul was appointed Managing Director of the Abbeycare Group in November 2015 having previously been the Director of a specialist care company providing residential accommodation and 24-hour support for people with complex mental health needs.
Highly motivated with demonstrable experience, skills, knowledge and determination essential for managing key areas of complex organisations, Paul’s approach is benevolent with a personal commitment to achieve the highest of standards, probity, openness and transparency.
Paul prides himself on his integrity, communication and diplomacy to encourage the best from others and works exceptionally well, both independently and collaboratively.
Paul was also recently appointed as a trustee of Faces and Voices of Recovery UK, a national charity made up of individuals in recovery, their friends and families and community recovery organisations. FAVOR UK is a public and professional movement that is intent on challenging the stigma surrounding addiction.

Liam Mehigan
Operations Director
Liam is Operations Director of the Abbeycare Group and is instrumental in developing our addictions treatment services in both our Scotland and Newmarket clinics.
In his role Liam ensures clinical governance and regulatory compliance across Abbeycare Group.
Liam is a Postgraduate in Drug and Alcohol Studies (Glasgow University) and has also completed his Registered Managers Award.
Liam is also a qualified CBT therapist with almost twenty years’ experience at a supervisory and management level within mental health and addiction services. Liam is also a Board Member of the Scottish Recovery Consortium, a recovery-orientated charity that aims to build and promote recovery from addictions in Scotland using means and messages that are consistent with the values and practices of recovery from addictions.

We use your personal information to help personalise your own treatment plan and ensure that your treatment with us is as safe and relaxed as possible.
We keep your personal information securely for as long as we need to following the completion of your treatment.
Our Products and Services
We need some personal information before we can consider providing you with a service. These can include medical reports and accepted forms of identification. In some cases, we will be unable to provide you with a service if we do not have all the information we require.
Sharing and Transferring Personal Information
Upon completion of your treatment, we may share your personal information including copies of a discharge report with your GP or any other relevant medical specialists. We do not share personal information with any other parties.
Your Consent
Sometimes we need your consent to use your personal information (for example when contacting your GP). We won’t always need consent to use your personal information – for example if we need it to meet regulatory requirements or to prepare your treatment contract. Where you have given consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.
