Steps in Treatment
After placing your call, we’ll do an initial assessment. After 24-48 hours, if you decide to join us, you should be on your way to rehab.
Staff will be expecting you to arrive in the day we agreed upon.
After settling in your room, you need to do some medical tests before we commence the medically-assisted detox programme.
We will also be asking you some questions so we can have a better picture of your present condition.
We start the detox process soon afterwards.
In order to make withdrawal comfortable, we will prescribe medicines proven to help you feel better.
The most difficult time for detox is the first three days, and during that time, we will monitor your progress closely.
Some common withdrawal symptoms include headaches, nausea, and stomach upsets.
Alcohol disrupts the sleep cycle. During withdrawal, this could mean having problems sleeping or staying asleep.
Some people also have tremors and maintaining their balance. Other serious withdrawal symptoms are Delirium Tremens and Grand Mal seizures.
If you have high blood pressure or heart problems, you will need to be monitored closely, as withdrawal can complicate your existing problem.
It is accepted knowledge that prolonged use of alcohol weakens the heart muscles, making the heart less efficient in pumping blood.
You can call us twenty-four hours a day, all days of the week if you are in discomfort.
It’s our job to make your detox experience a bit more comfortable.
Withdrawal can be tough, and there’s nothing worse than doing it without anybody to help you.
Don’t hesitate to ask for help.
After detox, we will immediately begin with the therapy sessions. In the centre, you are encouraged to join as many activities as you can.
Mostly, there are quite two or three on-going group therapy sessions, individual sessions and holistic therapy sessions going on each day.
Depending on your personalised plan, you will be led towards certain types of therapies
Home Detox Option
If going to a rehab centre is not an option, you can inquire about our home detox program.
We have a stricter screening program for clients who wish to avail of this programme because our safety requirements are high.
We firmly believe that detox should be safe and effective. We want to make sure it is the best choice for you.
If you are interested in home detox, please ask about it during the initial call.
Structured Programme (In-patient)
Staying in our centre to experience in-patient care means you are giving yourself the chance to immerse yourself in a lifestyle of sober living.
We take away the triggers and the “using” friends.
We take away the environmental stressors, the access to the substances, and the many unconscious things that influence you use.
When you go for an in-patient program, you are giving yourself a clean break from all things that are detrimental to your health.
The activities in the centre will ground you, giving new insights into your troublesome behaviour.
We aim to give you ideas about how to cope better with life. You’ve been living with a substance abuse habit…and these habits need to be replaced with new ones.
We have successfully treated people like you.
Our in-depth program not only treats the symptoms but also the underlying issues that made you addicted in the first place.
