Abbeycare Foundation is the only alcohol specific private treatment centre in the United Kingdom. The staff team at Abbeycare, are a solid group of qualified and experienced professionals. Many of whom are in recovery themselves and have been through the process of alcohol treatment/rehabilitation. In focusing and specializing in alcohol misuse we have a very high success rate in alcohol recovery outcomes.
We provide you with a safe and positive environment where any client suffering the effects of problem drinking or alcoholism can take the opportunity to explore and identify the changes they will require to make to enable recovery from alcohol abuse.
We cater for a maximum of six clients at any given time. This enables us to provide each client with a high level of quality person centred care.
Our approach to alcohol treatment is holistic, addressing the physical, psychological and spiritual implications of problem of addiction. Our programme gives you the opportunity to increase your awareness and understanding of your alcohol problem enabling you to learn new coping skills and identify future triggers giving you the opportunity to achieve lasting sobriety.
Abbeycare is a residential alcohol clinic based in Brownhill House, an 18th century historically listed building. Set in the tranquil Scottish countryside, just 15 minutes from Glasgow International Airport. Abbeycare's aim is to provide a private, confidential and safe environment for alcohol treatment and recovery.
At Abbeycare we offer a full intensive therapeutic programme. The therapeutic treatment approach is informed and guided by best practice and the latest proven research. This is reflected in our treatment outcomes of sobriety without relapse. This approach includes elements of the main therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), motivational enhancement therapy and the 12 step model (AA).
