Abbeycare Foundation is a residential abstinence based alcohol treatment service based in Brownhill House, an 18th century B listed Historic Scotland Building.
Set in the tranquil countryside of North Ayrshire, Abbeycare's aim is to provide a private, safe and positive environment where the client will have the opportunity to explore and identify any personal changes they require, in themselves and their surrounding's to enable them to maintain an alcohol free lifestyle.
The Abbeycare Foundation is a very private and confidential care setting providing specialist alcohol addiction treatment for a maximum of 6 clients at any given time. The structure of the service provided at Abbeycare facilitates quality person centred care.
Our approach is holistic, addressing the physical, mental and spiritual implications of addiction. Our programme gives you the opportunity to increase your awareness and understanding of your dependency on alcohol enabling you to learn new coping skills and identify future triggers giving you the opportunity to achieve lasting recovery.
At Abbeycare we offer a full intensive three week theraputic programme. The therapeutic treatment approach is informed by best practice and statistically proven research. This approach includes elements of the main therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioural therapy, motivational interviewing and the 12 step model.

Facilities include a cinema presentation room, putting green and golf practice net, gymnasium, spa house, alternative therapies treatment room, ornamental pond with seated areas for quiet contemplation and internet access.
