Brownhill House is a 18th century manor house with a distinguished history which offers single occupancy in large double rooms. There are two lounges and a dining area.

There is a cinema/presentation room, where clients can enjoy a choice of recovery movies.

Clients have access to a PC with Internet and e-mail facility where they can make contact with friends, relatives etc.,. We can provide useful links to alcohol related sites.

There is a recreation room with pool table and a fully equipped gym.

The total area of the grounds is approximately three acres. Within the grounds there is:

  • A putting green and golf practice net, an ornamental pond and quiet
  • seated areas for contemplation.
  • A spa house and an alternative treatment therapy room with crystal
  • therapy, Reiki, acupuncture, and SAD light therapy.
  • A small area which serves as a kitchen garden.

Clients are consulted in the preparation of the weekly menus. A chef is provided to prepare main meals, but clients are also welcome to take turns in cooking under supervision, as part of their therapeutic programme and contributing to the life of the home.

The Chef will provide suitable arrangements for any special diets if it is requested.

Clients are able to help themselves to drinks and snacks between meals, made available in the dining room.

There is provision for clients to attend to their own personal laundry , should you require assistance to do your laundry staff will support you to do it.

Courtesy Minibus Service

The minibus service is available to collect and drop off clients from railways stations, airports etc.,. on arrival or departure. There is a regular service to Dalry for shopping etc.,, and occasional day trips to places of interest.
