David Fidler. Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

I worked for Dept for International Development for 20 years, jobs included HR Manager, Programme Manager and member of the Advisory Group on Diversity – I travelled the world, working full time in Bangladesh, South Africa and Afghanistan. I have a degree in Psychology and Biology, a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and MSc in Drugs and Alcohol: Policy and Intervention. I also work as Co-tutor on CBT hons degree course and as a CBT counsellor. I went into rehab myself in 1989 and am a recovering addict, alcoholic and compulsive gambler. I now live in Saltcoats, Ayrshire, with my wife Stephanie, also a recovering addict. I practice at Abbeycare, The Medical Suite, Centre Of Therapy and offer CBT and counselling in Ayrshire from my office in Ardrossan.

Mary Pender. Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. Before coming to Abbeycare I worked at the Priory Hospital in Glasgow with clients suffering emotional disorders such as anxiety, depression, addiction and self-esteem issues. I have an M.A (Hons) degree from Glasgow University. I also supervise and mentor trainee therapists at the Centre of Therapy in Glasgow. I am married and live by the coast in Ayrshire. I am a member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists.
