Chris Jones – Chairman, Abbeycare
Chris is a conscientious and accomplished senior executive with almost 40 years experience at senior board level covering a wide range of industries including healthcare, property development, Insurance, travel and security.
Experienced in working in the public, private and charitable sectors, Chris is knowledgeable and skilled in company law, risk management and corporate recovery and turnarounds. Over the years Chris has worked closely with Primary Care Trusts, Local Authorities, Universities and Councils and is well appraised of NHS reforms.
Chris is also the founder and Chairman of Feet First Worldwide, a children’s orthopedic charity providing treatment and education worldwide; and the founder and Director of Global Clubfoot Initiative – a forum of global medical institutions and NGO’s working together to provide a shared knowledge platform.
Paul Bowley – Managing Director
Paul was appointed Managing Director of the Abbeycare Group in November 2015 having previously been the Director of a specialist care company providing residential accommodation and 24 hour support for people with complex mental health needs.
Highly motivated with demonstrable experience, skills, knowledge and determination essential for managing key areas of complex organisations, Paul’s approach is benevolent with a personal commitment to achieve the highest of standards, probity, openness and transparency.
Paul provides himself on his integrity, communication and diplomacy to encourage the best from others and works exceptionally well, both independently and collaboratively.
Paul is primarily based at the the Company’s Head Office on the Fylde Coast alongside the group Chairman, Chris Jones, with the aim of expanding the already highly successful Abbeycare group.
Liam Mehigan (BABCP) – Operations Director, Abbeycare
Liam is Operations Director of the Abbeycare Group and is instrumental in developing our addictions treatment services in both our Murdostoun Castle and Newmarket clinics.
In his role Liam ensures clinical governance and regulatory compliance across our clinics.
Liam has a Postgraduate Certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies (Glasgow University) and has also completed his RMA.
He is also a qualified CBT therapist and has over 17 years’ experience at a supervisory and management level within mental health and addiction services. Liam was recently invited to become a Board Member of the Scottish Recovery Consortium.
